Dollars + Sense Youth Financial Literacy Series


We’re back with a financial literacy series hosted by our friends at JP Morgan Chase! For three sessions, youth can learn about the functions of a bank, the best methods for creating a budget, and the importance of saving money.


This three-part series will be held in person at the Brownsville Chase Bank branch (1697 Pitkin Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, 11212). The dates and times are listed below:

Day 1: Bank On It | March 7, 2024 (4:30 PM - 5:30 PM) —-> Students learn the main functions of a bank and the types of accounts they can open

Day 2: Setting Financial Goals | March 21, 2024 (4:30 PM - 5:30 PM) —-> Learn to track daily spending habits and identify ways to decrease spending and increase income

Day 3: Pay Yourself First | April 4, 2024 (4:30 PM - 5:30 PM) —-> Discover the importance of saving and why setting financial goals is essential
