VIBE BLM MURAL

The YDC VIBE Summer Program was a 6-week arts, activism and graphic design initiative in partnership with the Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice. During that time, the youth participants from Van Dyke and Brownsville Houses learned Graphic Design skills using Adobe Photoshop and Gimp. All of the work they created through a social justice lens ultimately led to the curation of a mural right in their own community. This mural (which can be seen on the corner of Osborn and Belmont Ave) is their own message back to the youth of this community to use your voice and knowledge as the key to change.
