Kick off your summer with this Intro to HTML workshop! You will learn a basic markup language through a straightforward tutorial.

About this Event

In this workshop, you will learn the foundational concepts of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language). This is the first step in your transition from being the consumer of technology to the creator of technology. This session is designed to be engaging, relevant, and fun.

HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) is the basic foundation of a website that allows you to create and structure web pages and applications. You can create and structure sections, paragraphs, headings, links and more. HTML is a widely used language with lots of resources. Note that it is not a programming language but it is necessary for website building.

This workshop is intended for people with little to no coding experience or those looking to revisit the basics. From this three hour session, you will walk away with an understanding of how HTML can be used to create custom web pages or designing templates. As you learn more about HTML, the other web languages that follow in this series of workshops will be a lot easier to learn!
