In my portraits, I captured the weight that housing in New York City could bear on someone by making buildings take up most of the frame in each shot.

With my interview-style film, I use New Yorker’s voices to highlight key aspects of housing in New York City.
audio story
With my audio story, I try to capture the chaos of housing in New York City by reversing the music from my video to create a choppy/unsatisfying tone, including camera sounds like someone taking pictures of an apartment, and adding keys jingling in an elevator. I added a second background tune, slow and melodic, to symbolize slowing down and taking everything in for once because if someone moves fast-paced at all times, they are sure to miss something important.
