Youth Design Center is a youth creative agency and innovation hub that trains and employs youth in design and technology to increase access to the innovation economy.

ROOTED is a 7-week paid program where youth (ages 14–17) will explore digital media, 3D design, fabrication, and agriculture while creating content that amplifies Youth Design Center's mission. 

Youth will explore the relationship between urban planning, food justice, community design, and entrepreneurship through product design. Through proven youth engagement programs of YDC, professional urbanist mentorship from BlackSpace, and hands-on experience with D.E.A.P., participants will develop tools to advocate for more just, nourishing, and equitable neighborhoods.
